SEO Audit Calculator Overview

The SEO Audit cost estimator uses various inputs to work out a cost.  By default, the costs are based on a 5 page site, with all Audit Types enabled and pre-set on the lowest cost for each option.

The estimator can attempt to read the sitemap of your website, and this can be done by adding your website url into the field provided and clicking “Check you site”.  This will read number of pages and additional content that is published and indexed in the sitemap.xml file.

Audit Types

  • Technical covers all technical SEO aspects of a site and delivers a detailed report that details improvement steps to be taken.
  • Content & User eXperience (UX) audit output describes the content and a user’s journey through the site to specific objectives and provides suggestions to improve engagement and conversions based on best practices.
  • Competitive Landscape provides a wide-angle view of the traffic in the site’s domain based on competitors and keywords in use. Output includes traffic bringing keywords that can be included in your site, as well as detailed usage of words and phrases by competitors.
  • Visibility & Authority reports on the websites’ perceived validity based on the authority of links to the site, keywords in use and their ranking as well as on-page signals that reinforce the authority.
 
Disabling Easy Mode provides detail for each of these except Technical which is entirely software driven.

If you added your site to the field and clicked “Check your site”, you would see a breakdown of the items that the scan found in the Content & UX section.  Otherwise, it will be the default of 5 pages.

You can add items here – more pages, posts and other items. Additional items can be added in the format of <item name>(<item count>) and either separated by a comma or each on a new line.

Each of these affects the cost of the audit, as more time needs to be spent with an increasing volume of pages or other items.

On-Page SEO is useful for high-value pages like landing pages, detailed service or product pages and lead generation pages. The output is a holistic view of the page and suggestions for improvement, in terms of structure and content.

The Competitive Landscape Audit takes 5 or 10 competitors and reports on their keywords and AI answers in a way that allows similar content to be created on your site. 

The output does not include generated or crafted content for use in a site, but this can be provided as an extra service and helps by providing all content for a site that would jsut need to be rephrased using your business’ tone and language.

The default target is Regional and you can enable National or Global to increase the SEO perspective used in the audit. If you choose Global our tools explore each countries search engine results.

Google is included in all Audits as a source of information about a site and its content.

Additional search engines and AI chat tools can be added – for example YouTube if video is important, and AI if you want to understand where your site is appearing in AI answers.

Local SEO Audit is not included by default but can be added.  If selected, we audit the Google and Bing business pages and provide improvement suggestions.

The SEO service cost is based on the number of keywords being tracked.  The minumum is 50 keywords. 

You can add keywords or any words that describe your business or service in a way that customers would use to describe it.
