About the project

The Diamond Works first came to us four years ago with a small four-page Wix website that couldn’t support their product depth, brand story or long-term SEO growth. We moved them to WordPress and WooCommerce, giving them the groundwork and platform needed for scalable performance and content expansion. In February 2025, the site received a full refresh to modernise the design, improve performance and strengthen the content structure so it kept pace with user expectations and search trends. Since then, the focus has shifted to a long-term SEO programme aimed at improving organic visibility. The rebuild focused on creating a fast, elegant, content-rich platform that supports both luxury retail and high-intent gemstone research. We structured the site around key product categories, improved internal linking, and created depth around Tanzanite and diamond expertise to help search engines understand the brand’s authority. WooCommerce allowed The Diamond Works to showcase collections with clarity while maintaining the premium feel of their showrooms. Continued SEO work ensured consistent growth, while local search optimisation strengthened their presence for travellers and in-person visitors.

The outcome

Across the first eight months after the refreshed site went live, The Diamond Works saw strong, sustained improvements across all key website and SEO metrics. Active users increased by 55.6%, while new users grew by 91.3%, showing that the expanded content, improved structure, and ongoing optimisation significantly strengthened visibility and reach. Organic search was a major driver, with organic search sessions up by 64.7%, supported by steady improvements in both product-related and location-based queries. Referral traffic rose by more than 113%, reflecting stronger authority and broader brand exposure.

Engagement metrics also moved in the right direction. Users are spending more time on the site, exploring collections and educational content in greater depth, with average engagement time up by 50.3%. Key product and experience pages show notable growth in views and interactions, indicating that visitors are finding relevant content more easily and staying engaged for longer. The improvements in local SEO continue to support real-world outcomes, with The Diamond Works reporting increased showroom interest, jewellery enquiries, and Tanzanite experience bookings.
